Capiz History (as told by Filipino  Grandparents)

Capiz shells are named after the Capiz province of the Philippines.  It is also known as the window shell for, in the olden days, it was primarily used for windowpanes.  It was ideal for this use for it allowed light to pass through without sacrificing privacy.
